That depends on a lot of things. In Canada, the post office says, "Regular letters are delivered within 2 business days within a city, in 3 business days within a province, and in 4 business days nationally (excluding the day of mailing). If you are sending letters internationally, delivery time varies by country, but we expect international letters to be delivered in 4 to 7 business days."

From Kenora, Ontario to Cornwall, Ontario is 1260 miles (by road), then a letter can travel 1000 miles in 3 days. On the Other hand, Windsor, Ontario is across the river from Detroit Michigan, but Canada Post says this should take 4 to 7 business days.

In practice, letters are often delivered to addresses over 1000 miles away in one day, both in Canada and the U.S.
