Without medication, they can go away in several months. However, it's best to go to the doctor, or vet if it's your pet, and get medication. With medication, it will take a couple of weeks to go away. It's best to use it for about a month, though, just to be sure that all of them are gone. Make an appointment with your doctor, or vet, as soon as you can.

If you have been treated with the proper prescription cream, topically, the rash should disappear within 10-14 days. Otherwise, you may need additionally, an oral prescription medication.
