These substances should not be taken in the same day. Give your body a chance to purge itself of one before adding the other, unless you want to end up on dialysis, or have liver problems. Xanax And Alcohol are a bad combination, they are both depressants, and put quite a strain on your "filtering organs" your liver and kidneys. Don't mix them.

∙ 13y agoActually you should take it with your drink it works great! It will definitely save you money because you wont buy as many drinks. I recommend taking half if you do not have high tolerance because xanax has been known to make you forget things mainly for stupid people that decide they want to take two or three.Neways with the xanax You will pretty much be feeling good after 1 or 2 beers unless you have a high tolerance level to the pill. But be careful because if you don't watch yourself you will be extremely messed up before you know it and will probably not be safe to drive home. Just use extreme caution because Xanax is pretty potent but as long as you use caution it can be fun. Just remember that has a high potential for addiction so be careful!

∙ 12y agoAbout 2 hours. I am on 1mg , 4 times a day for methadone withdrawal (a VERY long process riddled with MASSIVE anxiety). I never take it with food , less than an hour before, or less than two hours after. Every time I did, It wouldn't have any effect.
*I am not a doctor, just a dope fiend for the last 15 years. But, sometimes we know for than the goons writing the scripts.
Be careful with this stuff, getting off of it is harder than Heroin for some.

∙ 14y agoBased on personal experiences with both drugs I would not rec drinking heavily while on either of them especially xanax unless you particularly enjoy blackouts.
