Koi are a type of carp and can get very large. 135 gallons is not enough room for Koi to be kept for a long period of time. They should be kept outdoors in over 500 gallons, constituting a pond. Only fry can be kept in an indoor aquarium but then they will have trouble adapting to an outdoor environment.
When it comes to Koi, you need to stock based on the average adult size even when they are still babies. The best way to do this is to take the number of gallons for your tank (or indoor pond) and divide by 100, that would give you the number of Koi.
For your 85 gallon, you will not get a whole number when you do the math, which means that you should not keep any Koi in the tank; if it was 100 gallons, then you could manage with 1.
While this may seem excessive, it really isn't considering the size of an adult Koi, and the waste they can produce.
You would be better off looking at fancy goldfish such as fantails as you could have 5 in your 85 gallon provided you have excellent filtration, and perform weekly maintenance which includes changing at least 50% of the water.
2 or 3
Dpends on the size of the fish its one inch full grown for every gallon
The general rule for stocking a fish tank is 1 inch of fish per gallon of aquarium water.
normal rule for fish in a tank is: For every 1 inch of fish there is 1 gallon of water
A betta fish would be much more suited to a 1 gallon tank than a 'variety'. You shouldn't keep much more than one fish per gallon anyway.
depending on whether you plan to keep them till adult hood a 50 g tank will hold 4 adult angels
id say 15 fish
If the tank is large enough. For rearing young Oscars a 50 gallon tank is about right for 5 fish.
length and width for a 55 gallon fish tank
The only fish you can keep in a 5 gallon tank is one betta (Siamese fighting fish) on it's own as that is a very small tank.
You could probably keep a school of a dozen Exodon Paradoxus in a 40 gallon, as long as they are kept well fed, with a riverine environment, and no other species of fish in the tank. Be prepared for a lot of work, but some enjoyable feeding sessions.
7....But you should keep an good watch on them.
