Every statement about whether a song was "Number 1" in the USA is based on the statistics published by _Billboard_ magazine. Problem is, this publication did not publish OFFICIAL stats for sales until 1958. Between 1940 and 1958 this magazine made weekly lists of lists of best selling records, but these were based on limited polls of retailers. Before 1940 _Billboard_ did not make lists of record sales, but rather lists of sheet music sales and plays on juke boxes.
NEVERTHELESS, Bing is credited with 46 #1 songs.

Who had the Christmas number one song in 1975 and 1991 and with which song?
There's many songs that celebrate the Christmas holiday. But, unless the record chart history has changed, there's only 1 Christmas song that hit #1 on the charts. That would be pop artist Bing Crosby, with the song "White Christmas." Bing introduced the song to the world by singing it in the movie, "Holiday Inn," back in 1942. Now, many artists in various fields of music, including country, have release Christmas music. Many have been hits on various charts. But, I don't know of anybody that has passed Bing Crosby, in having a Christmas single to hit #1 on any chart ~ including the country charts.
