1 BTU is 0.00001 therms.

1 HP = 2545 BTU/hour So 10000 is about 4 HP
1 BTU = ~1,055.056 joules
1 billion BTU = ~1.055056e12 joules
1 BTU = 1055 Joules
Air Conditioning: 1 Ton = 12000 BTU
1 million BTU = 10 Therms
110 therms.
1 therm unit equals 100000 btu's
1 Decatherm = 1 MMBTU Because: 1 Therm = 100,000 BTU 10 Therms (1 Decatherm) = 1,000,000 BTU 1,000,000 BTU = 1 MMBTU Therefore: 10 Therms = 1 Decatherm = 1,000,000 BTU = 1 MMBTU
One million btu equals 10 therms. One hundred thousand btu equals one therm.
A BTU is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of 1 pound (0.454 kg) of liquid water by 1 °F (0.56 °C)therefore = to about 1055 joules.
13,000 Therms equates to 1,300,000,000 BTU

I was just researching this same question today. Here's what I found hope it helps. 1 Therm = 100,000 BTU 10 Therms = 1MMBTU ( Million BTU's ) Therefore to convert from MMBTU to Therms, multiply the MMBTU figure by 10 to get Therms. Note: Therm to BTU conversion is based on the amount of energy obtained from burning 1 Therm (100 cubic feet of natural gas). This value is not exact, but close, and could be different from one natural gas field to another.
180 thousand BTU,s or 1.8 Therms.
1 HP = 2545 BTU/hour So 10000 is about 4 HP
A therm is an energy unit (equal to 100000 BTU) while kilowatts are power (energy/time). 1 watt = 1 Joule/second, and 1 kilowatt = 1000 Joules/second. The kilowatt hour is an energy unit (power X time = energy). 1 therm = 29.31 kWh
