Bear in mind that the division of any species into body parts is to some extent an arbitrary choice, since you have not defined how large of significant these parts have to be. A parrot is a multicellular organism which contains something on the order of a trillion cells, all of which could be described as body parts. Furthermore, cells themselves have parts, such as the cell nucleus, the cell membrane, the ribosomes, the mitochondria, and so forth. And those parts also have parts. The cell nucleus contains genes. The genes are made of nucleic acid. The nucleic acid is made of atoms. The atoms are made of subatomic particles. And many of those subatomic particles are made of quarks. When we get down to the level of quarks, there are no more subdivisions. That's as simple as it gets. How many quarks are in a parrot? Really a lot. I would estimate it to be on the order of 1026. So parrots have a lot of parts. Depending upon what kind of parts you are looking for.
