It depends on how fast your running and at what incline. These factors contribute to overall calories burned.

For instance:

I know for a fact if you run on a standard treadmill at a 9 minute mile and at 0 incline (no incline), then you burn approximately 120 calories per mile. Times 5.5 is 660 calories. The faster you run though, and at a higher incline you increase your calorie burn...

This is a standard formula, and everything concerning working out/calorie burn is unique to each individual... metabolic rates/body fat percentage/ etc., so unless you really need to know precisley for some odd reason, I wouldn't worry about being exactly precise.

The question is: Did you feel like you got a good cardio workout?

The number of calories burned depends on the runner's weight. A 180 pound runner who ran at this pace would burn 681 calories.

Depends on how fast you are walking and at what incline. Uphill will burn more than a flat plain. But a rough estimate would be about 600-800 for walking.

It depends on how much you weigh. If I walk that far at that speed I will burn about 275. I weigh 127. Someone weighing more would burn more.
