Best person to answer this would be a diabetic educator with a specialty in diets. Mine gave me the following, up to 30 grams of carbs per snack, 2 snacks per day and up to 45 grams of carbs per meal, 3 meals per day. I generally keep my snack carbs at about 1/2 of this, 14 to 16 and my meals at about 30 to 40. It has been doing me well, nice weight loss, great BG measurements.
You should eat the low carbohydrate diet, if you are diabetic. That means 30 to 50 grams per day. But then up to 200 grams of polysaccharides will not do much harm. Specially when you take these carbohydrates in divided doses.
Every diabetic is different. So I would say start at 45 (if you are female) or 55 (if you are male) carbs per meal for three meals a day. Then it is pretty much trial and error from there, just find what works for you and your diabetes. Test frequently to make sure you are on the right track. Good luck!
Every diabetic is different, something that works for one diabetic may not work for another. Diabetes, as I have learned, is mainly trial and error. Find what works for you and don't let others tell you what you should/shouldn't be eating. Control your diabetes, dont let it control you.
That depends on the diabetic and in particular whether or not they use insulin. Some diabetics can tolerate far fewer carbohydrates than others can.
