Every school has a different credit system. Typically, every class that you take will be worth a certain number of credits, based on how frequently it meets per week, whether or not it's a full-year course, and whether or not it's an academic class.

Depends on how many classes you take per term. To get an AA you need to finish and pass 60 units. This usually takes 2 years if you take 12-15 units per semester.
