You probably can not achieve higher temps in the pool by using your hot water heater. By the time it takes your water heater to recover your pool will have reverted to that lower temp. Not possible nor economic. A solar bubble blanket would work more efficiently possibly bringing the pool temp up 10 15 degrees. However, you may loose most or all of that during the evening hours. That too will depend on the underground temps. If you are attempting to heat an above ground pool temp loss thru the walls of the pool could be significant. A bubble cover is not designed to retain heat but - it will retard evaporation. Bubble covers transfer the suns rays to heat by heating the air in the bubbles.

How much water should be added to 1 gallon of pure antifreeze to obtain a solution that is 60 percent antifreeze?

2 gallons.

How much water should be added to 1 gallon of pure antifreeze to obtain a solution that is 80 percent antifreeze?

0.25 gallons of water (or 1 quart)

How much water must be added to a gallon of 10 percent saline solution to create a 2 percent solution?

There is 1 gallon of 10% solution...There is 0% saline in water...The equation is (0.1)(1) + 0x = 0.02 (x+1)...Answer is: 4 gallons. Hope I helped!!:)

Which number you get if you add 1 to the largest four digit number?

9999 is the largest 4-digit number.When added with 1 it becomes 10000. 9999 + 1 = 10000.

How many gallons of 80 percent antifreeze solution must be mixed with 100 gallons of 10 percent antifreeze to get a mixture that is 70 percent antifreeze?

600 gallons. To solve this think about the amount of antifreeze in the solution. When 10% antifreeze is added to x times as much 80% antifreeze, the resultant percentage antifreeze will be: (10 + 80x)/(1 + x) So to obtain a 70% solution, x will need to solve: (10 + 80x)/(1 + x) = 70 ⇒ 10 + 80x = 70 + 70x ⇒ 10x = 60 ⇒ x = 6 So to 100 gallons of 10% antifreeze solution, 100 x 6 = 600 gallons of 80% antifreeze solution will be needed to make it a 70% solution. Consider adding 100 gallons of 10% antifreeze and 100 gallons of 80% antifreeze together and then taking half the resultant solution, that is so that you have 100 gallons of the mixture; the amount of antifreeze in this 100 gallons is (10 gallons + 80 gallons) ÷ 2 = 45 gallons, that is a 45% mixture. Now consider adding 100 gallons of 10% antifreeze and 200 gallons of 80% antifreeze together and then taking a third of the resultant solution, that is so that you have 100 gallons of the mixture; the amount of antifreeze in this 100 gallons is (10 gallons + 2 x 80 gallons) ÷ 3 = 562/3 gallons, that is a 562/3% mixture. If x times as much of the 80% antifreeze is added to the If 1 gallon of 10% antifreeze was added together with 80% antifreeze, the resultant mixture will still be (10+90)/2 = 45%. So if x times as much of the 80% Consider the amount of antifreeze in the solution. When two solutions of the same volume is added, the amount of antifreeze in the same volume is half the new amount. Consider the ratio of anti-freeze to water in each of the solutions in fraction form of antifreeze/water: 10% is 10/90 70% is 70/30 80% is 80/20 When two ratios are added together, the amount of antifreeze in the solution is added together and the amount of water is added together to give some odd fraction maths: 10% + 80% = (10+80)/(90+20) = 90/110 =

A 3 gallon mixture contains one part S and two parts R In order to change it to a mixture containing 25 percent S how much R should be added?

Call the unknown amount of substance R to be added a. The mixture initially contains 1 gallon of S combined with 2 gallons of R. After the addition, the mixture will contain the oiginal 1 gallon of S and (2 + a) gallons of R. In order for the content of S to be 25 % after the mixing, 1 gallon must equal 0.25(1 + 2 + a)gallons, or (1 - 0.75)gallons = (0.25)a, or a = 0.25/0.25 = 1 gallon.

I have a bucket of water that holds 4 gallons of water and another that holds 7 gallons of water. The buckets have no markings. How can I go to the well and bring back exactly 5 gallons of water?

# Start with empty buckets, and carry them to the well. # (Note that the larger is the 7-gallon bucket, and the smaller is the 4-gallon bucket.) # Fill the 4-gallon bucket with water to the top. # Empty all the water from the 4-gallon bucket into the 7-gallon bucket. # (Note that there is room in the 7-gallon bucket for exactly 3 more gallons.) # Fill the 4-gallon bucket again. # Pour from the 4-gallon bucket into the 7-gallon bucket all the water that will fit, spilling none. # (Note that since there was room for only 3 more gallons in the 7-gallon bucket, you now have 1 gallon left in the 4-gallon bucket.) # Dump out all the water from the 7-gallon bucket. (Pour it back into the well or onto some flowers so it's not wasted.) # Pour the 1 gallon of water that remains in the 4-gallon bucket into the empty 7-gallon bucket. # Refill the 4-gallon bucket completely. # Pour all the 4 gallons from the 4-gallon bucket into the 7-gallon bucket. # (Note that since the 7-gallon bucket had 1 gallon already and you added 4 gallons, you now have 5 gallons of water in the 7-gallon bucket!) # Bring back your 7-gallon bucket that's holding exactly 5 gallons of water. (Bring your 4-gallon bucket back too, in case you want to play again!)

Is it safe to have 3 Goldfish in a 1 gallon bowl I went to my local pet store the owner told me that is was safe to have 3 of the common goldfish in my 1 gallon bowl they seem to be fine Safe?

This is absolutely not safe.A fancy goldfish needs 20 gallons on it's own, with an additional 10 gallons for each fish added; that would mean that you need a 40 gallon tank for 3 fancy goldfish.Common (single-tail) goldfish grow very long, and due to this they need at least 30 gallons for one fish, with an additional 15 gallons for each common fish added; that would mean that you need a 65 gallon tank for 3 common goldfish. The only thing you can put in a 1 gallon bowl would be a betta, but even a betta would be better in 2.5 gallons or above.

How man gallons are in 15 pints?

This answer assumes you're referring to U.S. and not Imperial measurements, and fluid pints.One U.S. fluid gallon contains/is equal to 8 U.S. fluid pints.1 fluid pint = .125 gallons.125 x 15 = 1.875 gallonsAnswer: 1.875 gallons equals 15 fluid pints.For future reference, I've added a link to SmartConversion.com.
