In the lower 48 states the grizzly bear population (1975) was estimated at between 1,200 and 1,400 bears making it a threatened species.
Today that has recovered and they no longer meet the requirements to be considered theatened but now are "watched". Estimates range from 4,000 to 6,000 but accurate counts are not available. Populations in Alaska are well established and flourishing.
None. Brown bears (grizzly is now a subspecies of brown bear) went extinct in California in the mid-late 1800s (I'd have to look up the date). It's still on the state flag though. There are still many black bears in the state however.
Grizzly bears formerly inhabited much of California, the reason the creature is on the state flag. Because of hunting and habitat loss, there are no grizzly bears left in California.

Although the grizzly bear is California's state animal, there are not many left in this state. It is reported that there may be about 20 bears in the California ecosystem. In some other states, there may be about 1,800 grizzly bears left in the wild.

No, this is not done. Brown bears are wild animals and can not be used as a beast of burdon. They should be left to the wild where we can adore them from afar.
estimates that in the lower United States, there are probably fewer than 700-900 grizzles x Thanks Chanelle xx
California is the American State to the left (West) of Nevada.
No, but they can stick their heads under water to get fish! Only Polar Bears can swim underwater! And did you know ALL Polar Bears are left handed...or would it be pawed?
The mountain lion has no natural predators. He's pretty much left alone and most will die of accidents or old age.
Polar bears are left-handed.
