Answer

60 hours per week.

Answer

Biologists work in a wide variety of jobs; it would depend on the biologist's job and who employs the biologist. If a biologist works for an employer in a lab, they are more likely to work a standard 'work week'. If they work for a university, hospital, or government agency, they may work a standard work week plus there would be occasions for special projects or emergency situations. Some biologists work in the field getting samples, testing plants or animals. This may be for a special project or their main function. These biologists would work an irregular schedule and may work more hours than standard. Some biologists even work in very unusual positions, living on ships for ocean research or for organizations like Project HOPE. They may spend the majority of their careers traveling to many countries, tracking diseases or conditions all over the world. Biologists in these last groups don't really have 'hours per week' jobs, their job is their life.
