The answer to your question depends on how one defines a language from a dialect, especially when you consider the hundreds of Native American languages still spoken in the U.S.

I found one website stating the number to be 311. As to the accuracy of that number, I don't know. I would expect it to be a little higher, but even linguists have trouble agreeing on what languages are separate languages and which are just dialects of other languages.
