The British Parliament currently has a total of 1,462 members - 650 elected members of the House of Commons and 812 members of the House of Lords. However, 5 members of the House of Commons have not taken their seats and 52 members of the House of Lords have suspended or disqualified themselves from taking their seats, bringing the total number of voting members down to 1,405.

The UK Parliament is the largest legislature in the democratic world and since 2012 (with the reduction of the Libyan legislature from 2,700 to just 200 members) it has been the second largest in the entire world behind the unicameral 2,987-member Chinese National People's Congress; the next largest Parliament belongs to Italy and has only 952 members in all. The House of Commons is the second-largest lower house in the world behind the European Parliament with 754 members, whilst the upper house is the largest anywhere in the world.

How many meps fromn Wales?

Wales itself has four MEPs- currently there is one from the Labour Party, one Conservative, one Plaid Cymru and one from the United Kingdom Independence Party (although the latter is likely to lose his seat at the next European Election). There may be MEPs from wales who represent English constituencies, but I regret I don't know how many of these (if any) there are.
