14 Presidents have been Mason's. Of these were Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Madison. If you compare the constitution of the United States to the Masonic constitution you will find some things that are alike. Washington was buried with a Masonic funeral and was past Grand Master and Master of his lodge.

Is Christopher Columbus one of America's founding fathers?

Nope, he discovered the Caribbeans, not America (he wishes :3) Christopher Columbus is credited with discovering the New World in 1492, even though it had been discovered thousands of years earlier by the Native Americans. The Founding Fathers were the men who were involved in drafting the Declaration of Independence (1776), the Articles of Confederation, and the Constitution (1787).

How did the Founding Fathers of the USA establish racism?

The Founding Fathers (Delegates to the Philadelphia Convention) did not "establish" racism. Racism has been alive and well in the world since the dawn of time. What they did do is tacitly condone slavery by not writing it out of their new document. From a practical view, thy had no choice. To get their new constitution ratified required the votes of several southern states. The delgates from those states made it clear that they would not vote to ratify a document that did not condone slavery. So it was simply done for political expediency.

Why should we thank the Founding Fathers?

Without them, we may possibly still be living in a poor world with harsh rulers, without rights, slaves and no women rights, being violated. They changed that for every one of us. Hope this helps!! :) Good luck!

What does John Roche see as the motivation for the founding fathers?

John Roche saw the founding fathers as democratic politicians and nationalists. Their motivations, according to Roche, were to try to create the best system they could. However, the delegates at the Constitutional Convention were sometimes limited due to the force of public opinion, as the constitution needed to be ratified by the people.

Were all of the founding fathers white?

No. You have to consider what the meaning of "founding fathers" are. Founding something requires laying fundamental building blocks. All of our founding fathers were not white, because many different people are responsible for the development of The United States. An example would be Greece. They qualify as a founding father for The United States. They were the first culture to install democracy into their culture after winner battles Salamis and Marathon. Our country used their method of democracy to establish government. Another example of America's founding fahers were the slaves. Slaves were the main income for agriculture. Agriculture was the fundamental building to America's Industrial Revolution. Look into the history books of our country. The founding fathers are in the pages of books. You just have to look for them. The true founding fathers of this nation were just not men signing documentation, they have definded the world we see around us each and everyday. I hope that answers your question.
