While there are no real hard numbers, thousands die because of poverty each year. Over 10,000 people die each because of inadequate medical care related to poverty. In itself, that is equal to about 30 people a day.
No one dies of poverty. Money is not one of the basic needs of a human. You can die of poverty-related causes, such as starvation, lack of clothing or shelter (such as freezing to death), or thirst, but I do not know how many people die of those causes each minute.
There is no way of knowing this. And when did 'people' start. Is 'early man' a person and did any of them die of starvation? Who knows?
In every 17 seconds of our daily life approximately 1 child will die from Poverty! (TERRIBLE!!!)

HOW MANY PEOPLE DIE IN EGYPT A YEAR
Around 5,000 children die in the US due to homelessness, no water, no food.
There are so many ways, it's hard to add up all the numbers. For instance, how many people die in jail due to inadequate medical care? How many people die because life-saving drugs are not approved? How many people die as a result of poverty-related circumstances because governments suppress economic freedom?
Punishing people for being unable to pay bills due to poverty.
You might want to be more specific on your question. Do you mean single person, family, or country? There are many, many ways for poverty to occur, with single people and family's, it is mainly due to people spending money they don't have.
