That is currently unknown. However, based on the planets found so far it seems there are at least as many planets as stars. Current estimates suggest 100 billion to 400 billion planets in our galaxy.

You have to be very speculative with this one. We've observed, thanks to the Kepler telescope, that most stars that were intensively studied had at least one planet.

It's incredibly likely that the amount of planets in the galaxy exceed the number of stars. Given that there are approximately 300 billion stars in the Milky Way, there are possibly near to a TRILLION planets in the galaxy. This raises hope for the amount of life in the galaxy.

The above does not consider the unknown but, most probably, vast number of rogue planets.

Impossible to know. There may be 400 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy, and we have no way of knowing how many of them have planets.

We have discovered 400+ planets so far, and it is highly likely that there are millions or billions more to discover.

No one knows. We are only just able to locate planets around a few stars in our galaxy, The Milky Way. There is absolutely no logical reason to suppose that there are no planets in the countless other galaxies throughout the universe, but it is very difficult to estimate how many there are. We could probably hypothesize that there are millions upon millions of planets outside of The Milky Way, and there is every likelihood that some number of them can support life as we know it.

We will not know that answer until greater technology has been made and that maybe until a long time. We do know there is 8 planets, 1 dwarf planet and many moons in our milky way though. There would be sooo many more in a galaxy.

How many planets does the comet galaxy have?

It is not generally known how many planets are in each galaxy; it isn't even known how many planets are in our own galaxy, and will probably never be known exactly, due to its enormous size. However, according to latest observations, it seems likely that every star has several planets, at least on average.

How many dwarf planets are there in the milky way galaxy?

It is not known. Scientists are still not sure how many dwarf planets are in the solar system or how many true planets are in the galaxy. If estimates from our solar system apply elsewhere, however, the number is probably in the trillions.

Which galaxy are the planets on?

Planets orbit stars, stars orbit a galaxy. Planets are not "on" anything. A lot of stars out there have planets - we are just finding out how many now that we have better techniques to find them. So probably all galaxies have at least some stars with planets.

It is not known. The Andromeda Galaxy contains about a trillion stars, many of which certainly have planets, though we don't know how many. Many of the planets likely have moons. All told, there are likely several hundred billion to several trillion moons in the Andromeda Galaxy.
