Until now, there has been discovered 8 (Mercury,Venus, Earth Mars, Jupiter,Saturn Uranus ,Neptune) planets, they were 9 including Pluto, but then it was removed because it hadn't the outer planets' same properties.
There are eight planets in our solar system (from closest to sun to furthest); Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. R U sure? we are in the Rigel Sector of the galaxy and we're so far away from the Star Wars galaxy... 'sigh'...
Because we only know the names of the planets in our Solar System, the right question could have been "What are the planets in our solar system?" which is of course very elementary. Some people can sometimes get confused between solar system and galaxy
Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun because it is located at that distance in the solar system, counting from the sun outwards. The distance of planets from the sun is determined by the formation and evolution of the solar system.
The only planet other than Earth on which a human could walk safely (with a spacesuit of course) would be Mars, but we currently do not have any spacecraft capable of sending people there. The planets of the outer solar system lack solid surfaces while Venus and Mercury are too hot.
