I was looking at the 2005 Ford Freestar owners manual and it shows for the
automatic transaxle ( 13.7 quarts ) That of course would include the lines
and the cooler along with the converter and transaxle
A C6 transmission including the torque converter will take 12.5 quarts.
A 4.0 ford ranger will hold 10 quarts of transmission oil. This is if the if the transmission is totally dry including the lines and the transfer case.
It's 13 quarts including the torque converter.
The transmission holds 8.6 quarts total including the torque converter. A fluid change takes about 5 quarts. Use the dipstick to avoid over filling.
5 quarts
For the automatic transmission including the torque converter the capacity is 17.7 quarts, for the manual five speed 3.4 quarts, and the manual six speed 5.8 quarts.
12 to 14 quarts including the converter 7quarts without
Answer12 including the torque converter.
the 5r55s transmission holds 35 quarts of transmission fluid ====================================================== so why would the 2006 Lincoln LS Owner Guide show that the 5R55S automatic transmission takes 11.9 quarts ( that would be for the entire system )
if the trans is completely empty including the torque convertor about 12 quarts if you are just doing the pan 5 quarts
According to the 2007 Ford Freestar Owner Guide : For the 3.9 and 4.2 liter V6 engines : With engine oil filter change : ( 5 U.S. quarts )
Is it a deep or shallow transmission pan? In a shallow pan, it's 8 quarts not including the torque converter. 12 if you do include the torque C.
