There are no laws in any state that limit the number of times a person can marry. The only thing that is required is that you divorce each time before you marry again. You can not be married to more than one person at a time legally in the United States.

It's against the law to be married to more than one wife in Utah, just as it is in other states. Years ago it was permitted in the beginning of the LDS church existence, but now it is not allowed. Although there are off shoot groups who still do this, only the first one the man marries is the legal wife.

You can only have one wife in Utah. Multiple wives were only practiced in the early years of the church. There still are small groups who practice this but they are not affiliated with " The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" they do not support this kind of practice. It is against the law.
