There is no count of the use of the whip, or crop, during hte race. However, there are rules and even state laws that limit the use of the whip - any use that appears to be abusive or excessive may be not only against the rules, but illegal.

∙ 12y agoI wouldn't say go hog wild with it, but there is no 'maximum' number of times you can whip your horse. (I almost wish there was though...)

∙ 12y agothey should not hit them because it could really hurt them. but although if you want go to jail you could whip you horse. Don't abuse animals if so you can go to jail.
