There are three types of bees in a honey bee colony. Firstly there is the queen who lays all the eggs to produce new bees and she is the only fertile female in the colony. Then there are around 400 drones in the colony. Drones are male bees and their only purpose is to mate with a virgin queen when a new one is produced after swarming.
Finally there are around 40,000 workers and as the name suggests, they do all the work in the colony, from looking after the larvae, keeping the hive clean, collecting pollen and nectar and making honey. Worker bees are infertile females.

A beehive is an artificial home for bees provided for them by a beekeeper. It is designed to replicate the type of home that honey bees would choose for themselves but with adjustments to allow the beekeeper to inspect the inside of the colony without destroying the bees home.
The drones (male bees) don't work. Their only purpose is to mate with a virgin queen.
well a lysosome breaks down food particles and worn out cell parts, so the function in a beehive that would be related to that would be, i think, the bees that clean the honey, if bees like that exist...
It varies enormously from apiary to apiary. The main factors are the amount of forage available to the bees in the area and how hard the bees work so it can be anything between nothing at all to around 200 pounds.
Utah's nickname is "The Beehive State." The first leader of Utah was Brigham Young and he actually had the settlers raise bees for their honey. He wanted the people to be industrious like bees.
The Beehive State.Important icon in the Mormon religion that is depicted on the state flag. The beehive became the official state emblem on March 4, 1959. Utahans relate the beehive symbol to industry and the pioneer virtues of thrift and perseverance. The beehive was chosen as the emblem for the provisional State of Deseret in 1848 and was maintained on the seal of the State of Utah when Utah became a state in 1896.
The above is WRONG, worker bees are the sterile female bees that do do all the work. The bees that do no work in the hive are the male "drone" bees that the hive produces each summer. They have one function only, to mate with new queen bees.
The queen bees do not do work, besides laying eggs.
Most mosquito repellents will not work on bees. In fact, there are certain fragrances in some mosquito repellents that will actually attract bees.
No, they do not.

Wasps return to their hive typically at sunset. However, many people have the misconception that wasps sleep at this time. Certain bees are awake even during evening hours to ensure the hive is safe. You should use care whenever you are trying to eradicate a beehive.
