I am not aware of any age restriction on bankruptcy relief. As a practical matter, I would be surprised if many minors need to file since they normally lack capacity to contract, so they would not normally be allowed to have credit cards or be held responsible for medical bills.

However, in the event that a minor causes an accident or otherwise incurs an enforceable debt, that minor is not barred from filing bankruptcy simply due to their age that I am aware of.

Please note that nothing in this posting or in any other posting constitutes legal advice; this is simply my understanding of the facts, which I do not warrant, and I am not suggesting any course of action or inaction to any person.

Believe its every 7 years...
You can file as many as you want. But if ever you filed already bankruptcy once then you should wait like 7-8years to file bankruptcy again. It depends on the chapter you are filing.

There is no limit to the debt you owe for filing bankruptcy. Chapter 13 may not be available if you owe a large amount. Since the amount changes from time to time, you will have to look it up on your bankruptcy court's website.

You can't personally accrue any debt until you are 18... There might not be an age requirement, but theres no point unless you are 18+.

If you have credit cards, etc, are under 18, and only you signed for the credit card, its not valid anyways. You are not bound by the terms of the contract.

After you've properly completed the paperwork (which depends on your ability to handle complex things) to accompany your pleading to the Court..no time at all.

Bankruptcy can be filed at any given time depending on if you have ever filed before and when you filed last. There is no specific date as to when you can actually file.
