How long is hamsters are supposed to live?

Three years on average. If the hamster is healthy and under good care it can live up to five.

Hamsters last 2-3 years depending on what type of hamster. If you bought or adopted a hamster they may be an adult all ready so they may not live more than a year after. Sometimes hamster may also have diseases or sicknesses and my not live very long either. So basically Syrians my live up to three year. A dwarf 2 years or 3 years if your lucky. Winter whites, robo's Russian and Chinese dwarf hamster live about 2-3 years Max.
