Keep in mind that doctors all always required to do ongoing education so that their well of knowledge is current. They have to attend yearly classes, inservices, training and seminars. To be a hundred percent truthful even after you get your medical degree you never finish with school. It is always an ongoing process. I should know after all I am a doctor!!! Check with your state's medical board or local college to find out exactly how long it takes to become certified in your state, each state varies; but not by much. I have never heard of someone obtaining a medical degree in less than 10 years. Good Luck !!!!!
