Depends on which "sax":
Of course, the larger the instrument, the more costly it will be. The other thing that comes into consideration is the instrument brand name. Kielworth's (for example) may command a higher price than a lesser known brand. Years ago, I bought an excellent condition Kielworth Alto sax - (6 years old) - for $1,650.
alot
A good class student saxophone costs about £800 new, but they go all the time for £400-£500 on eBay.
A good baritone voice is not something you can buy easily, although if you have the basics, you can purchase lessons to train your voice. A good baritone saxophone can cost as much as $3,000, if you are purchasing a new one.
Flute is worse. Saxophone is easier and more fun to play then flute.
Yes! The alto saxophone has a whole family of relatives. Some are the barri saxophone, the tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, bass saxophone and contra-bass saxophone. The sub-contra-bass saxophone, sopranino saxophone and soprillo saxophone are very uncommon and expensive also, you may never run across one.

Pretty much the same as what's on a piano
Pretty much, however, there are quite a few of these saxophones out there that are sized differently to suite the player (saxophonist). This pretty much applies to all saxophones, appart from designer instruments and the alto saxophone which is now built in a large range of sizes. Any other questions? AndyQaurtare@hotmail.com
The prices of Cannonball saxaphones can vary depending on it's age and quality. In general the prices for standard saxaphone's are around $1,500 which is about ǣ900.
