(When we counted the number of M&M's in a 12.6oz bag, we got 404, which means there are 32.06 M&M's/oz, which means that each M&M weighs 1.13 grams.)

The division in the above math was done backwards. If there are 32.06 M&Ms/oz, and an ounce equals 28.35 grams, then the weight of an individual M&M is 28.35/32.06 (NOT 32.06/28.35), so the average weight of an M&M is 0.884grams.

For the calorie minded, the main M&M website says there are 142 calories per ounce of M&M's. So that would work out to 5.01calories/gram, or 4.43 calories per each individual M&M.

Do all M Ms have to weigh the same?

I don't know about the plain ones, maybe so, but the peanut ones certainly can't, because the peanuts are not the same exact size and shape every time.

How much NaOH should be weighed out in order to make a 1 M solution?

You need 40.01 g NaOH per liter volume of the solution. This is not the same as adding 1 liter of water to 40.01 g of NaOH. The NaOH must be put in the flask and the volume
