children generally get plenty of exercise just being kids...ya know, runnin around and being all hyper and what not. As long as your kid plays regularly on the play ground and does the things kids usually do then that is usually adequate. Just make sure they arent spending all their time on video/computer games and being sedentiary. If you are concerned that they are not getting enough then you may wanna see if they are interested in any sports, that is a great way to keep them active and healthy, and have fun at the same time.

An eight year old girl should get at least 90 minutes (1 hour & 30 minutes) of exercise, each day. The girl should practice jumping and throwing, for these are what the child is still developing through 6-8. Also, when exercising, the girl shouldn't eat junk food all the time. Try to give your child the right amount of veggies and fruits she needs a day.

At 8, children should be introduced to a range of exercises, not just running. Try team sports, such as Basketball or Netball, aerobics or Cheerleading, hockey, soccor or football. Swimming is also an essential life skill and excellent source of low impact exercise, it also helps treat and relieve symptoms of asthma in some people.

To answer your question, no 8 year old should go out jogging by themselves, make it into a fun team sport, like playing tag or cops and robbers.

Well, I am an eleven year old and I ride my bike with my mom daily and we go 4 mi and beyond. Also, swimming competitively or even just a few laps in the pool is fine. Other good exercises for this age is a walk (not speed just nice and easy; it's been proven that slow walks or jogs burn more calories not just for children but also for adults). While doing these exercises daily remember never to push it too hard; get plenty of rest (from 11-18 a good 10-12 hrs a night is just fine) and weigh every morning before breakfast. It is a good idea to log your weight of every day to see how much you've lost or gained.Make sure to eat half a cup of vegetables, fruit, and grains. With your diet, you need 1% of 100% of oil. As much as fruits and vegetables, you need the same amount of starch. If you're trying to go healthy try to avoid processed foods like:

*McDonalds

*In'n'Out

*Del Taco

*Taco Bell

Instead, try Subway maybe even Quiznos. Encourage your child to eat healthier but give them the choice of what, when, and where they are going to eat. For females heading into puberty, they're going to need iron because of future blood loss. Iron can be found in meats, chicken, and fish even vegetable.

Hygene is another health problem for girls this age it is very common and there is a cure as long as you aren't stressed, keep hydrated and clean with name brand cleansers ( found in almost any dept or grocery store). Shower daily, after swims, workouts, gym, or before bed (I'd say in the morning because of dead skin cells in bed so wash your sheets once a week.

well typically you should excerise 30 mins a day, mimunine. But since your young, you should excerise much more. Im 13 and excerise about 5 to 6 hours a day and thts only during the summer. Once school starts, I do recomend you trying out for your school team to stay healthy and in shape.
