How much formula for baby?
Generally, the amount of formula a baby needs is the baby's weight doubled, in ounces to the baby's weight multiplied by 2.5, in ounces. Ideally, feedings would occur more frequently, with smaller amounts each time.

depends on how old they are, or how much they weigh, newborns, approximately 1 1/2- 2 oz.
It depends on what kind of formula you choose. Name brands run about $20-30 per can of the dry powdered formula, where their store brand equivalents are about $10-15... and they are nutritionally equal. I suggest taking a look at the nutritional information labels and comparing for yourself.
according to this website i just found it costs between 1200-3800 a year for the formula alone. I'm assuming the range is due to different types of formula that can be used - cow milk based, soy, powder, pre-mixed etc... * It also depends on the brand you purchase! Name brands are much more expe…nsive than their Store Brand counterparts, but they are all nutritionally equal. There are so many options when it comes to infant formula, but there is really no reason to pay $20-30 per can when you can get essentially the same thing for half the price, and in a larger amount! We used Parent's Choice, Walmart's Store Brand, and saved over $1400 by the time we were done with formula. You can save this money with any Store Brand.. I know Target, CVS, etc all have their own... Walmart's was just easier for us. (MORE)
Enfamil - Gentlease is $25 per large can. So, the would mean $75 for 3 large cans.
This is a highly personal question--and one that you might do well to consult with a doctor about. Basically, all commercial baby formulas are probably OK, but you might value certain kinds of ingredients--or your doctor might prefer certain ingredients. Your baby might also have his or her preferen…ces, so some trial and error is probably the best way to go. At first sign of an allergy, however, stop that formula and consult a doctor. (MORE)
It really just depends on your baby. Some like Similac, others Enfamil, and some like Nestle Goodstart. And they've all got good sides to them, and bad sides to them. (Ex: Similac advance is free of palm olein oil, but has a lower level of DHA than breast milk. Another example: Nestle GoodStart is m…ade of partially broken down whey to make it easier to digest, but it contains palm olein oil.) (MORE)

Baby formula is about 12 cents per day. There are more expensive brands though. When your baby drinks about 30 ounces per day it will cost approximately $3.60. But, when your baby grows it will start drinking about 40 ounces a day which is equal to about $4.80 a day. So on average, yearky you will s…pend $1,500 to $2,000 on baby formula. (MORE)

Baby oil is a mineral oil or liquid petroleum composed mainly of alkanes (typically 15 to 40 carbons) along with whatever other elements to provide the smell.
Yes it doesn't really matter which temperature the formula is although you're baby might not like it cold out of the refrigerator. I found it helpful to serve formula at room temperature so that if I was somewhere where I could not warm the bottle the baby wouldn't protest. Both my children didn't c…are which temperature the bottle was, but some babies will get used to warm bottles and refuse cooler temperature bottles. (MORE)
Talc is used to make baby powder (and talcum powder). Talc is a hydrous silicate mineral composed of magnesium (Mg), silicon and oxygen (SiO2, silica), and water. microwaving baby formula, although babies find the taste more appetizing, is a personal choice. there have been studies that say babies can die at an earlier age from microwaving baby formula. it is much healthier for healing power in a young child to microwave it. so you choose whether you want a h…ealthy baby, but one that will most likely die early or an unhealthy baby, who will most likely live a long life, unless he needs healing power, and has very little, it is a hard and sometimes regretful decision, but its one that every mother needs to make. no, it can harm the child you feed it to. =] Premixed formula: No, definitely not, this could definitely be harmful. Dry powdered formula: The "best if used" is just that, the date the formula is best used by. From that date on, the chemicals start breaking down and the formula starts losing …its nutritional value. It's up to you if that's acceptable. Expired powdered formula is very unlikely to be actually be harmful, though. (MORE)
Yes, you can bring formula with you on the plane. When you travel with a baby, not children, baby as in those you still push on a stroller; you can bring a slightley larger amount of liquids depending on the distance you are traveling (3 to 4 bottles usually in U.S.). If you bring formula already pr…epared in a bottle make sure you take it out and present it to security, same goes for baby food. If you bring the powdered form you will have no problem as powder is not a prohibiited substance. Try not to buy bottled water before going by security as you will not be allowed to take it through. Buy the water after security to save yourself the trouble. Once you have bought the water after security you can make the powdered formula and if you need to warm it up the airline will help you with that. Be careful about calling the airlines or looking into their websites for information on security matters. (MORE)
Your baby might need to be burped or she/he is not hungry at all. Try to feed your baby when she/he is happy, or right after she wakes up. Drop a few drops of the milk onto his/her mouth. She might suck on it himself/herself.
Microwaving causes "hot spots" and can lead to serious burns. It is highly recommended that parents warm baby formula using a warm water bath. Bottles should be warmed in a pot of water heated on the stove. Never warm formula in the microwave.
Baby formula is a protein, so do not wash it in hot water. Start by pre-soaking the clothing in cold water. Then wash it on a cool water cycle.
In the 1950's, formulas like Similac and Enfamil were not yet widely available. Mothers would actually use a written formula to mix up the ingredients in the formula by hand. They would get a large bowl and combine Karo Syrup (corn syrup), evaporated milk, water, and possibly one or two other ingred…ients. This was the "formula" that most babies of the 1950's and even much of the 1960's were fed. (MORE)
Check store ads and coupons in the Sunday Paper. You can also check sites like Craigslist, or ask around on online parenting communities. If your church has a couponing group, you can also ask there. The easiest way is to sign up for the formula company's mailing list! I know that Parent's Choice …has free samples on their site, and you can often call them directly and ask for coupons. If you're looking to save a good chunk of change, though, consider switching to a store brand. You can save up to 50% off of the national name brand, no coupons needed! (MORE)
Yes, babies can drink formula even if they have a fever. In fact, giving a sick baby as much liquids as possible is a good way tohelp ease the symptoms of the sickness.
There are many signs that your baby may be allergic to a formula. In most cases babies are not "allergic" to the formula. But are either lactose intolerant or might have GERD. Gastroesphogael Reflux Disease. A good sign is diarrhea or bowels that have any kind of shape and/or form. Excessive crying.… Projectile vomitting or even excessive spitting up. Not going through more than the usual amount of diapers and is suffering from dehydration. It is always best to consult your peditrician if you believe your baby might have an allergy or a health problem to a particular formula you might be using. (MORE)

A baby three months old should be getting fed breast milk as it isbetter for your baby. It has all of the nutrients and vitamins ababy needs. A baby should get about 4 ounces of formula.
For an infant who is constipated, you can feed him 1 teaspoon ofcorn syrup in 4 ounces of cooled, boiled water. Do not add corn syrup to formula .
No! Why Would you like to feed the dog baby formula? nothing is going to Happen
in 1869 by Justus Von Leibig, this was a simple formula of potassium bicarbonate, wheat and malt flour and was mixed with warm cows milk. Swiss chemist Henri Nestle created the first complete formula (no addition of cows milk, just water) in 1870.
this varies from child to child, but most pediatricians recommend starting solid foods with your baby from 4-6 months. you may still use formula also at this time, gradually givung baby more solids and less formula as time progresses. signs that your baby may be ready for solid foods include sitting… up on her own, showing interest in your meal, and opening her mouth for a bite. the first food baby tries will probably be rice cereal (it has a very low risk of an allergic reaction) thinned almost to the consistancy of her formula. The amount of formula will vary from child to child. Follow the instructions on the formula's packaging and also listen to your baby and talk to your health visitor.
From 3-6 Months, your infant is entirely dependent on Formula.Hence the consumption would be max..on an average a good branded formula would cost anything bw 18-22 $ per can.So you would be requiring around 10 such cans for the month ( Based on personal experience),this may change depending on an inf…ants consumption. Now my infant is 8 month old & has started eating solid foods,so the consumption of formula is only 5 cans a month. No, as it should not be drank in high amounts or put in a baby's drink.
It all depends on which brand of infant formula you choose. If you go with the national name brands, it's going to cost a whole lot more than if you went with a store brand. I don't know what Babies R Us' store brand is, but if you can get to a Walmart, their brand, Parent's Choice is an excellent f…ormula. If you're concerned about nutritional content, don't be. ALL infant formula manufacturers are strictly regulated by the FDA to create their infant formulas nutritionally equal. So whether you pay $30 per can or $12 per can, you're paying for essentially the same thing, with a different label. Let's say the formula you choose costs $20 dollars per container - average 3 per week for 52 weeks. Total is $3120.00. (MORE)
I guess that would depend on what you mean by recycled. If you mean turned into more baby food I would have to say no. Although if you mean composted and turned into dirt then I would defiantly say yes. The glass jar can be made into new glass and the metal lid can be make into more metal.
This is dependant on the weight and age of the baby. A midwife or doctor will be able to give you suitable information on the correct amount to give to the baby.
Yes, it can but it might get get sick. So I would ask your veterinarian.
If the formula is still in it concentrate form they it could be - Baby formula is supposed to be mixed according to the makers specification
In the United States there are several type and/or brands of certified baby formula. The types or brands are: Enfimil, Gerber, Similac, and Earth's Best. There are some Organic types of baby formulas that are also certified.
Well, that all depends on what type and brand of infant formula that you use! If you buy the national name brands, they're going to be very expensive, where if you use the store brand equivalents, you can save up to 50% off the name brand prices. We used Walmart's Store Brand Formula (Parent's Choi…ce) when my girls were babies. They did very well with it, and we didn't have to worry. Store brand infant formulas are nutritionally equal to the much more expensive name brands. Because of the Infant Formula Act of 1980, all infant formulas made in the United State MUST meet or exceed certain nutritional guidelines. Check out the links below for more information, and to see the savings calculator to compare prices of various brands of infant formula.. Just choose the brand, and it'll give you the cost for a year for both the national name brand as well as the store brand equivalent. (MORE)

Most cake recipes use oil, egg and water as liquids. I substitute applesauce for the egg. I think that baby formula would not bake well and would give the cake an odd flavor. You could add a portion of wheat flour, flax seed or something else to fortify the nutrition.
Baby formula is used to feed babies. There are many stores that one can get baby food at. Some stores that sell that are Walmart and Target, They both have a wide selection to choose from.
There are many different benefits involved with using Enfamil baby formula. These benefits include, but are not limited to, it is easy to digest and it is tailored to meet the baby's nutritional needs.
