It really depends upon the condition. You can get a coin book which will give you a ballpark estimate or go to a coin shop. Or go to online coin buy/sell sites.

If it is a copper-nickel clad circulation strike, it's worth a dollar.

If it has an "S" mintmark and is mint-sealed in mylar with a blue envelope, it is an uncirculated 40% silver coin worth about $6.

If it is a proof coin sealed in a hard plastic case and packaged in a brown box (also with an "S" mintmark) it lists at $6.50. It can range from $6 to $10 in auction, but usually even non-circulated rolls when sold at an auction will bring less than face value after the auctioneer's commission is taken out.

The 1971 Silver dollar is worth about $10 depending on its condition as there was a Uncirculated coin in a Blue envelope and a Proof coin in a Brown box. Both coins contain 40% Silver so as the price of Silver fluctuates so dose the coins value. Unlike a 1971 Clad dollar that was produced for general circulation the Silver dollar was sold by the US Mint to collectors.
That's an Eisenhower dollar, and it's only worth face value. It doesn't contain any silver.

None of the Bicentennial coins regardless of denomination or mintmark struck for general circulation have more than face value. Only proof and uncirculated collectors coins sold from the Mint have premiums

One dollar. Unless it is older than 1900 you won't get more than twenty dollars for a silver dollar. For example a 1972 silver dollar is worth $3-10 circulated. Unless it isn't circulated it is most likely worth $1.

Unless it's in proof or uncirculated condition, $1.00 Remember that even though some people mistakenly call these coins "silver" dollars, they're made of copper-nickel and don't have any precious metal value.

If your 1972 coin is a uncirculated example it may be worth about $5.00 because the 1971 & 1972 issue coins were not included in the Uncirculated Mint sets sold from the Mint in those years but in general none of the Eisenhower dollars regardless of date or mintmark struck for general circulation have more than face value. Only proof and uncirculated collectors coins sold from the Mint have premiums.
