This stamp was first issued in 1840. A cover containing a stamp with two or three good margins can be purchased online from a dealer for $350. A dealer is likely to pay around half that for a good copy. It varies considerably due to condition and even location.
Today it can be purchased for $3500-6000 in mint condition, $3000 unused, $150-200 for used good condition, and $10 for used poor condition. (USD) (Approx.)
Your "black" penny is most likely a 1943 steel penny. (Check it with a magnet. If it sticks its steel) It is worth about .10 - .20 cents.

To many variables. You need to fully identify the stamp you are interested in, some things to figure out: What was the country of issue? Was the stamp canceled in 1913? or does it commemorate something that was made in 1913 and has that date in the design? What condition is the stamp in? Is the stamp used or look like it just came from the post office? Consult a stamp catalog online or at your local library.
