There are no U.S. pennies from 1882 with a mintmark -- they were all minted at the main mint in Philadelphia.
If you are referring to the "L" on the ribbon at the back of the Indian's head, this is the designer's (James Longacre) initial and appears on all Indian head cents after 1864.
If it's something else, then it was manually added after the coin left the mint and will drastically reduce the coin's collector value.
In circulated conditiion, an 1882 Indian head cent is worth $2-$3
A 1999 Denver Mint penny is not worth appreciably more than other pennies. In most collections, this penny would only be worth one cent.
There is no such mint mark. The only mints to strike cents with mint marks are Denver (D) and San Francisco (S). See this link for values.
its a mint mark, the letter indicates where the coin was made P = Philadelphia, D = Denver
You need to check the back for a mint mark. Assuming average wear, approximate values for different mints are: No mint mark (Phila.) or "S" - $160 "O" - $180 "D" - $1,400
1922 dollars were struck only at Philadelphia (no mint mark), Denver (D) and San Francisco (S). All are worth about $15. The U.S. has never had a "K" mint mark. My guess is that you're seeing the designer's monogram or some other marking.
a penny
The mint mark does not determine the value of a coin. If you have a penny and want to know what it is worth, please submit a new question and include the date on your penny as well as the mint mark.
It depends on the mint mark
