Well let's do the math, generally it's something like 6 to 20 strains at a time when in a dispensary. Each of which cost an average of 20 dollars a gram, and 60 dollars an 8th.
If each plant harvested produces something around 450 grams of bud (not counting leaves and stems which can be used to make hash, tinctures, balms, edibles, or simply sell for people to make their own products from). If you have something like 6 plants per strain carried, lets say 10 strains, that's 60 plants each of which with about 450 grams of bud.
450 grams times 60 plants equals 27,000. Now let's say you sell it only by the gram at 20 each, that would be 540,000 dollars made in that time.
If you live in California, about 30% of this would go back to taxes, then employees, your utility bills (water, electricity, etc), security, etc. So in the end, you may end up with something like half to a third of what you made, and apart from your salary, that must be generally distributed back into the business.
Hope this helps.
I have a couple buddies who work at a marijuana dispensary, one of them makes 10/hr, the other 12/hr. All depends on how busy, and how long you've worked there.

Federal Government's argument - Since the US Constitution does not say anything about marijuana in it, the rule is as follows: If a topic isn't detailed in the constitution, then the state government has the power to make a ruling on said topic. However, marijuana is declared an illegal controlled substance by the United States government, and therefore they do not recognize state's ruling on the use of medical marijuana. Also, it's rumored that because the Federal Government can not *yet* collect taxes on marijuana sales, they feel left out.Medical Marijuana - The use of marijuana for medical reasons is recognized by multiple states. Their main argument is that marijuana is a completely natural plant, and it is proven that marijuana usage DOES help for various medical issues such as pain, anxiety, depression, anorexia, insomnia, etc.
Probably. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the "company medical" was nothing more than a drug screening. They might have you fill out a medical questionairre, record your height, weight and check your blood pressure to make it look more like a medical exam.
Yes! There are plenty of stories about marijuana all the time. Check out controversies over medical marijuana, drug legalization, and drug trade.
There are a lot of reasons that you should not use Marijuana. First it can make you loopy and you may hallucinate. The BIGGEST reason not to use it is that if the police catch you you can get in big trouble. but there are medical uses if they are prescribed to you.
