∙ 12y agoIt depends on their ranking. Up to the point when they make the rank of Juryo, they do not receive a regular salary of any type. However, they will receive some money for expenses and for participation in tournaments. A Juryo can expect to get about 654,000 yen a month, far more than most businessmen. A top level Yokozuna can get 1,800,000 yen a month.
