Yes. My horse loves oatmeal, its like feeding them oats. Only oatmeal. It's alot like.....I think its called MASH.... its a brand of feed that has oatmeal in it and it is heated and is kinda like oatmeal in its consistency. My horse loves it.

It depends on the horses weight and activity levels.

A horse not being ridden only needs pasture/hay.

horses in light work also only need pasture or hay.

horses in moderate work can be feed 25%-40% of their ration in grains.

horses in heavy work can be fed 40%-50% of their ration in grains.

Oats are typically fed rolled, bruised, or crushed.But may be fed whole, though some say they don't digest properly when fed this way.

They are energy giving and contain fiber.But too much can make a horse excitable"hot".

First of all, horses LOVE oats, so they enjoy eating them. Oats are also used to give a horse more energy for working horses and supplements and sometimes dewormer is often mixed in with the grain because most horse's won't eat most dewormers or supplements unless they are added to something tasty, like grain.
