Edit- the 02 f4i holds 3.3qts with a new filter installed or 3 qts if you just drain and swap the oil out. check the site glass to see if you are low or high as you fill, put in 2, then slowly add the 3rd then check with it level, then add more if needed. You want it in between the two lines, not really touching either of them
We have a 1996 Honda CBR 600, and 4 quarts puts it right on the full mark on the dipstick, and that is when a new filter is installed. Be carefull since your 2002 CBR may be different, but thought this might give you an approximate amount. Remember, this lubricates both the engine and transmission. Our owner's manual recommends 10W-40 for the 1996 model; your 2002 could be different.
