Three cups of complete dog food a day will suffice.
If puppy doesn't want to eat that much, lessen it. If he looks too chunky, lessen it but if he seems to be gaining no weight increase it.
Seperate the amount into three small meals a day.
I would suggest 2-3 cups throughout the day and if he/she seems to be getting overweight 1 to 1/2 a day.
Note: Always have your puppy relieve him/herself immediately after to reduce accidents.
When you get it's food, there should be a chart on the side, but it really depends on weight and energy level. Puppies eat a lot to support their energy levels and their fat content, which is very important when young for protection. So check the chart on the back of the food.
one cup per day. Stay away from puppy foods. He will give every indication that two or three cups are needed if it has a high food drive. Thats great because you have a built in desire to please you. On training days you can double it or triple that but its best to use tasty things for training like bits of cheese and hot dog pieces. That is why you should only give one cup. If your not into training maybe two is better. You don't want to see the ribs at all till its an adult. Then you only want to see them slightly. Its a life long commitment to its weight as is ours. There is no one size fits all. Keep the weight on the low side. If it has bad hips you may never know if its is at its best weight. Never give unlimited access to food.
If you feed dried food then around four times a day using half a cup of food.
It doesn't matter about colour, a good dog food will suffice.
Dog food tells you on the label how much to feed your pet according to their weight.
6 months
Any size it want to be, it all depends on how much milk it got as a puppy and how good the food you feed it is, there is no way to know how big it should be.
Meat flavored dog food...
wet food
No you cant feed a dog any human food
A while. But German shepherds who are growing should hve two to three cups a day, depending on what your vet says. Their large dogs.
Their owners feed them.
My German Shepherd likes to eat high quality food that is high in meat content and low in grain. You may be able to get this in super markets but may have better luck in pet stores. Some owners like to feed a mix of dry and wet food to add variety to the diet and to keep the dog from getting bored.
It all depends on the dog, mine eats squash but most don't. Just make sure not to feed them raisins, grapes, chocolate, onions, or garlic, its bad for them. See related link for food not to feed them:
If they are trying please don't stop them.
