Give it 1 heaping teaspoon 3 times a day. Take up any dry food when feeding them wet. They absolutely need the canned. I use dry food for my cats as a snack. Cats cannot assimilate carbohydates well, so minimize (if you can afford to) the dry food. Look at cats in the wild. They never eat grains, corn, wheat, rice (carbs). They are mainly meat eaters. If you want you cat to live a longer live and not die early from kidney disease, go mainly with canned.

Can you feed a 3 week old kitten soft cat-food?

No!

How many scoops of food should you give your kitten?

Kittens are constantly growing and developing, so they need all the nutrients they can get. Typically, a kitten will need twice as much protein as an adult cat, so it is usually best to feed the kitten as much as it needs until it is around a year old. It really doesn't matter if you feed them just dry food or soft, as long as the food has plenty of meat in it and no cereals, grains or corn in. For young kittens, soft food will be easier for them to eat.

Your kittens are 27days old cat you feed them kitten food?

27 days is a little young to start feeding them solid food. Your kitten starts eating kitten food whenever it feels that it is ready. You could keep a bowl of food out, and water out if you like. At this stage, kittens may begin to explore regular cat food and might want to try it, but many start around five or six weeks. I would stick with soft kitten food at first.

Can you feed a 3 week old kitten buttermilk if the mom is not feeding it?

All cow's milk is not good for animals including buttermilk. Will cause diarrhea and is of no health benefit. You need to find a formula such as esbilac to replace the Mother's milk. Get a bottle too, can find them in the pet stores and feed the kitten about every 3 hours. In about another week, you can start to add softened kitten dry food, but soak it first until soft. Pour some of the esbilac on top of the kitten food. Offer that to your kitten and she or he will start to chow down on that. You can switch to dry kitten food completely at about 5 weeks of age.

How often do you feed 6 week old kittens and what do you feed them?

6 week old kittens should still be with their mother, if they do not have a mother then you should mix a tiny bit of soft kitten food with kitten milk (never use cow's milk) and slowly decrease the amounts of milk as he gets older. Make sure they get enough food by feeling their tummy-if it is hard, they have had enough, if it is soft, then they need some more. Don't feed them too much at once or it will make them sick. You should feed them about five or six times a day or whenever they are hungry. :)

What do you feed your 8 week old kitten?

Wet kitten food is best, but dry can be fed, also. As long as the food has plenty of meat in it and no cereals, grains or corn in. For young kittens, soft food will be easier for them to eat. Cats are carnivores so they derive all the nutrients from meat, so it makes sense to find a food with a high (50% or over) meat content. This should be the FIRST, or first couple of ingredients (listed as Chicken, Turkey, Lamb, Tuna, etc.). Foods that are free of grains, corns, and wheat gluten are highly recommended as these are cheap "filler" that bulk up foods - but have no nutritional value for your kitten. Wet food with these specifications are much easier to find than in dry food. Kittens are constantly growing and developing, so they need all the nutrients they can get. Typically, a kitten will need twice as much protein as an adult cat, so it is usually best to feed the kitten as much as it needs until it is around a year old.

What should you feed a 12 week year old kitten?

Well you should never feed it cow milk or baby formula or that would cause an upset stomach and diaherra. Feed the kitten cat milk which you can find at a local store. You can also give it plain water. You can give it those for a while then you can give it soft cat food also found at a local store. I hope that helped you. (:

What types of house food can you feed a turtle?

What household food can you feed kittens?

If the kitten has already weaned off milk, they can eat soft baby food like products, although be sure none of these have onion or garlic in them. They do best with things like plain chicken. Do not feed them vegetables or products containing vegetables, or cow's milk. If they still need milk, talk to a veterinarian about buying bottles of cat milk formula. Please note that human foods (unless you wish to feed your kitten a raw diet - which requires a lot of research) should never be substituted for a complete and balanced cat food.
