Well since I have a 12 year old cousin, (auctually 14 but he acts like a 12 year old),He eats about 4 kilograms a day. So about only 2 kilograms. Because he is CRAZY when he eat at least 5 twinkies,2 doughnuts and a Hershey's chocolate bar, You have to stay away. I had to do a project, and i decide to do it on him. He actually eat 4.987654209 kilograms of sugar a day. So a 12 year old should only eat about 2 kilograms a day, 14 kilograms a week. I LOVE ANSWER QUESTIONS!!!!!

They need sugar as much as adults do (not more though, as often mistaken). Every person needs a daily amount of glucose which is found in many foods - fruit, vegetables e.t.c. But they don't necessarily need the "added sugar" (sucrose, dextrose) that is found in sweets which they love so much. It does harm to your organism - develops fat, cholesterol, damages your teeth etc, so you ought to avoid giving your child treats with high sugar content and try not to let him develop sweet-tooth.

A toddler or 4-year-old shouldn't consume more than 17 grams of sugar per day. The less sugar they have, the better their health will be.

Yes, in small doses, and not often. kids have enough energy as it is and are also constantly growing, so the answer is both yes and no. But mostly no
