There is no recommended daily allowance (RDA) for sugar. In fact, some experts believe we need no sugar at all. On the other hand, weight loss surveys have shown that diets containing very small amounts of sugar are less easy to stick to. Official US Guidelines advise a maximum of 40g refined sugar for every 2000 calories consumed. This equates to 8 percent of calories. Note: Refined sugar is not only table sugar - it includes the sugars in a wide range of processed foods (e.g. breakfast cereal). So remember to read food labels and choose lower-sugar brands.

There is not a real consensus on the level of daily sugar intake. However, the World Health Organization recommends that daily sugar intake should equal no more than 10 percent of the calories eaten. In other words, in a 2,000 calorie diet, only 200 calories should be sugar. One 12 ounce can of soda would meet that level.

I think between 13 to 17 pounds, but I'm not too sure about that. I think it might depend on whether or not it is rehydro-granitized in order to extract some of the cartonogyns.

How many calories should a 21 year old 5 foot 4inch girl take in?

It wont matter so much how many calories you are taking in as much as it does for what your doing to even out the intake you put into your body. 1200 calories a day is a normal intake, but look into the fat calories, the sugar and salt intake, and corn syrup, these make the calories bad for your body.
