You make the hole extra wide. You make it deeper than the ball of earth that comes with the tree. You need to insert the tree and then be able to cover it with six inches of dirt. You will have to dig a hole and experiment, since we don't know the size of your tree or the size of the root ball.

Oak trees need a lot of sunlight. If you are going to plant it in your garden, it would be best to plant it where it can get loads of sunlight. Also, as these great beauties need to get big and strong, it will need lots of water.

Oak trees are massive trees. Over 300 species depend upon oak trees for food and shelter. An oak can grow over 60 feet tall with a reach of at least 60 feet. Oak has been sought after for hundreds of years for its timber. Oak trees are deciduous trees, which means they shed there leaves in the fall. One interesting fact about this tree is that it can live over 200 years or more. It needs quite alot of sun so I suggest you put it in full sun and give it quite a generous amount of water as it is quite hard to grow.
