The period from which California calculates your benefits is the base year, which is the first 4 of the last completed calendar quarters (each quarter being 3 months). So the last eligible time that is counted is 3 months prior to the time of your filing. Remember, the time is calculated back from the time of filing, so you shouldn't wait too long.
