In the Hyundai Owners Manuel it says for Automatic: Use ONLY Diamond ATF SP-111 OR SK ATF SP-111 with the Quantity being 7.5 (imp.qts) OR 8.5 (litres).

I have just done the Automatic Box on my 2004 Santa Fe 2.7 V6 and used AC Delco ATF Type III UK Spec (rhd). Drained the Fluid after getting it hot (10 mins drive) via the Sump Plug (24mm spanner) which you can see from underneath the car (almost dirrectly below the Dipstick underneath). Drained the fluid and then re filled via the Dipstick Tube.
where is the transmission fluid for a 2014 elantra
2.1 liters
Automatic: 6.9 quarts Manual: 2.3 quarts
According to the shop manual, an 02 Hyundai Accent Automatic transmission takes 6.7 litres of genuine Diamond SP-II ATF. Its the same transmission for both engine sizes.
I have a 2004 hyundai tiburon gt an di used two bottles of hyundai manual transmission fluid just like the dealer said. i got it from the dealer and i specifically asked them if two is enough and they said yes. but my gears are hard to shift i dont know why.
If it's fully dry, it needs six quarts.
The owner's manual requires a "special" Hyundai transmission fluid. I got a 2001 Santa Fe and was looking to change the fluid. I do my own work, but don't know much about the Santa Fe, checked the owners manual and wondered about this "special" fluid. A friend of mine who owns a garage said he didn't know exactly what the difference was either from the Dexron III or such. He did know of a couple of customers who did give it a try and their transmissions didn't run right (made weird noises, didn't shift correctly, etc..). He had to do complete trans flushes to get the Dexron out. So in turn even though the "special" trans fluid is more expensive from the dealer, you may not want to take the chance of messing up the trans or paying double for a complete trans flush. All Hyundai vehicles require SPIII ATF, failure to use this fluid may void warranty.
