A person would require 30 m3 of water for direct domestic use, of which, 1.5 m3 would be for drinking alone.

The domestic use of 30 m3 is only 10% of overall use, we consume vast amount of water indirectly. 15% we consume via industrial goods and 75% we consume via agricultural products.
