Keep it in the sunlight, but not directly under it. I also suggest that you water it minimally every six hours or so, except obviously at night. The best solution, though, is by removing the wilted leaves/parts. I have this plant that naturally, the leaves begin to wilt and die quickly. What I do is, as soon as the leaf starts wilting at the very tip, I tear off that small portion and throw it out to keep the leaf from wilting. Make sure you do it very early, not too late, otherwise it will kill the leaf all together. From the HandyMan
There is no "set" amount of water that a tomato plant needs a day.
Just like us, the plant metabolizes water at different rates based on humidity, sun exposure and outside temperature.
The easiest way to judge if your tomato plant is getting too much water is - are the leaves looking mostly turgid, but some are turning yellow?
If the plant is not receiving enough water then the leaves will droop and look sad.
Water an outdoor plant regularly, especially if it is in a pot, as this plant has no other way of getting water but from rain and you...
once a month
Tomato plants that are planted in the garden should have a minimum of 1" of water per week. If the plant is growing in a container it should have at least 1 gallon of water per day.
with water
A good rule of thumb is to water when the top 1" is dry and water early in the day and do not splash water on the plant. Soak to encourage deep root growth
no.. because the minerals and vitamins that water has, and plants need, tomato juice doesn't have. besides, it would spoil plant, and blog its roots.
It will probably kill it, tomato juice is very acidic.
every day
the independent of the tomato plant is the leaf and the dependent variable is the root
yes, because when i was a kid, my father used to water his plant tomato using his urine, and his tomato grows healthy and fruitful.
3 times a day
A tomato plant is an annual plant and it grows, produces tomatoes and dies for one season. There are plants such as perennials that seem to "die" but regrow and bloom again in the spring or summer but a tomato plant is not one of these. So, once you plant your tomato seeds and reap the benefits of their tomatoes they will eventually stop blooming andyielding tomatoes and the plant will die and not come back next season.
yes
You should water it every month. Also water is directly on the soil not the plant.
