How much weight can you lose in a week eating 1500 calories a day?
It all depends on how much exercise you are putting in and how many calories you are burning.

The question isn't how much weight you will use so much as how sick will you get and how much long-term damage to your body will you do. Answer 300 Calories a day is extrem…ely dangerous. Your hair can fall out, and you can become very weak and sick. If you are trying to lose weight though, you should try doing it in a healthier way. Like, cut out soda, that's -13 pounds a year! Drink a lot of water. Water flushes out all the bad chemicals in your body. And stay active. Even if you start off by just running for 20 minutes a day; it's still a start.
Your baseline calorie consumption could be determined through some rather elaborate tests, but generally we all burn a certain amount of calories just "living", before we do a…nything. A lot of that is determined by muscle mass and muscle tone. If you get stronger and more "in shape", you'll burn more calories even when you aren't doing anything. Then we can exercise to burn MORE calories. The only way to really loose weight is to use more calories than we consume. If you go for a starvation diet, you just loose muscle mass, which slows down the rate of calorie consumption. The best way to loose weight is to eat a good, well balanced diet, with plenty of protein and low sugar/ low fat . Then exercise to keep the muscle tone. Just as a general guide, your body will burn somewhere around 1,000 calories a day by just your heart beating, lungs breathing, maintaining your body temperature, and other involuntary functions. About another 1,000 calories are from a general lifestyle, such as you walking around the house and sitting down, getting up, and other basic common movements. So, bearing in mind that it will vary from person to person, if you eat about 2,000 calories a day, and live a moderate lifestyle, you should maintain your weight fairly well. Also, realize that a pound of fat equals to about 3,000ish calories when burned. So, if you eat around 1,200 calories a day and hit the gym with some hard cardio for about an hour, then you could possibly burn around 800ish calories, and thus have a deficit of about 2,000 calories for the day. This could let you burn around 3-4 pounds a week (remembering that everyone is different). Also, you should eat good foods that have high protein, moderate carbs, ect. Foods like canned tuna, oatmeal, eggs, any green veggies, fruits, milk, swwet potatoes, and whey protein powder are good foods among others. Just remember, start out moderate when you exercise and try to push yourself past a comfort zone each time. You will start to build endurance and become stronger and faster this way. Also, consult your doctor to find out what is safe for you to do nutrition wise and for exercise limits. To conclude, there are no real magical ways to lose weight without eating right and exercising. Remember, weight lose equals more calories burned than consumed. Period.
Answer . You don't have to worry about losing weight on 500 cal. a week. You won't last very long. People who are on diets normally eat from 1000cal to 1800 cal. a day....…not a week. That is not healthy or safe.
It really depends on your body's maintenance calories. If your maintenance calories are anywhere from 1200-1600, not much. It also depends on how often you exercise. I'd say m…aybe 1 pound to a pound and a half.
some people say that your body will go into starvation mode and not lose weight. however, I've done it and lost 40 pounds! was it easy? no. I exercised at least 3 times a week…. people will also say once you start eating again you will gain it back. as long as you keep your calories at what you should be intaking for your height and weight and keep exercising you should keep the weight off. . 800 cals/day is far too little to stay healthy on. Your body will switch to starvation mode, you'll be cold and lethargic all the time. If you're a woman you are likely to stop menstruating. Your immune system will weaken. Unless you take supplements you run the risk of malnutrition. Aim for maybe somewhere around 1500 cals/day, or maybe a little more. That will give you enough to work with to set up a sustainable diet and a loss rate of maybe 2-3 pounds/week.
Depends... the average adult, just existing, burns between 1500-2000 calories a day. The more overweight you are, the more calories you burn (again, just existing). A pound… is 3500 calories.. so if you burn 2000 calories a day, and eat only 1300, you're burning 700 extra calories a day. After a week, you will lose about a pound. This is all average, however, and should be adjusted according to your weight/activity level/etc.. Depends... the average adult, just existing, burns between 1500-2000 calories a day. How much weight you lose is based on not only calorie consumption but your current body weight. A larger body needs more calories to remain the same size. So, a person weighin…g 400 lbs. will lose more weight than will a person weighing 200 lbs., if each is living on 1000 calories per day. 500 calories sounds way too low for anyone to live on, even if "dieting." Try consulting an online calorie calculator for a reasonable idea of how much you should be eating.
Depends, if your an average adult you'll need around 2000-3000 cals a day (4000for teens and growing kids) by eating 500 cals a day you should lose 6-10pounds in two weeks if …your an average adult (or an inactive teen/child), or 14 pounds if your active or growing. Although dieting while growing is not recommended Apound of fat is around 3500cals The problem is your body will adapt to the lower calories and eventually it'll learn to run with less (although 500cals a day is impossible) and so you must combine dieting with excercise if you want the new weight to stay
Well, considering a woman needs at least 1200 per day for her organs to function, I'd say you'll be dead long before you see any real results. But hey, I guess you'll make a p…retty corpse. You would loose a lot of weight whether your a man or woman. You would see your ribs in about a week maybe less. You would have no energy and would hardly be able to keep yourself up right let alone walk around the house. I would definitely recommend not eating 200 calories a day, unless you want to die soon.
Stupidest idea. Tried and tested, and as a result I was forced to leave school in the middle of the term and now I'm in eating disorder treatment.
500 calories a day is roughly equivalent to one pound per week.. Actual losses will depend on lots of other things like exercise.
DO NOT DO THIS. NEVER EVER eat less than 1,000 calories a day if you are a woman or 1,500 calories a day if you are a man. if you eat less, you will technically lose weight, b…ut you will lose MUSCLE and other tissue and organs etc. and NOT FAT. therefore even if your body weight goes down you will LOOK fatter. NEVER try to lose more than 2lbs a week, that is the most FAT you can lose in a week (500 calorie defecit a day) Answer 2: I completely disagree with the first answer. If you eat 600 calories a day, you will lose fat. That is the first thing the body eats when its low on energy, NOT MUSCLE. You definitely won't lose your organs (that's just stupid) and you WON'T look fatter. It depends on your body how much weight you can lose in a week, but you will lose weight, and it WON'T be muscle. However, if 600 calories a day is continued for an extended period of time, your body COULD go after its muscle, but you never know. We're all different.
It would depend on your base metabolic usage. Factors such as physical activity, age and race play big parts in this. Eating less than 1200 calories a day puts you in a starva…tion zone and may be detrimental to your health. Other than that, about 3500 calories makes up a pound of fat. So if you eat 3500 less calories than your body needs, you'll lose about a pound.
depends, typically i think it would be about 3-4 pounds if you excercise and eat the calories spaced out, not in one sitting. ~ anoreexic person.
How much weight will you lose per week if you eat 1500 calories a day and exercise at least 11 hours a week?
It is impossible to say it. Your metabolic rate and the exercise you're doing and his intensity are needed values to find an estimate.
It is impossible to tell since there are so many variables. It depends on how active you are, what you eat to get 8400 calories, how much sleep you get, etc. You may not even …lose weight at all, even though it is highly unlikely. However, 8400 calories in a day is unhealthy, let alone a week. I don't think anyone is so fat that they need to resort to near-starvation to be healthy. You might even die if you go at that diet for more than a few weeks. I would recommend against it. In fact, if you are trying to lose weight, I suggest exercising for 30 to 60 minutes a day, using portion control, cutting out soft drinks and candy, and watching what you eat overall. Simply cutting calories will not get the results I am sure you are looking for.
This depends on multiple factors... where are the calories coming from, how intense are the workouts, how tall are you, male or female... The "Daily Burn" tracker may help you… out if you're looking for something more basic.
