I own a diesel (1.9dti) Renault megane 2000 edition. I change the brake pads(front) every 15000 Miles approximately.
5yr/72000mls
probably does not have one as Renault often use electric / electronic power steering.
every 70000 miles
cambelt should be changed at 70,000 miles , i was quoted £360 at Renault main dealer for cambelt change only , but had cambelt plus water pump changed for £357 at an independent garage.
A new lock on hatch door of 2003 Renault megane scenic cost a whopping £126 - supplied and fitted by a local garage in Greenock (colour matched too - dark blue). Try the scrap yards before buying brand new. Looks like this is a common problem amongst megane scenics as we now play a game - spot the missing button and you'd be amazed how often we see megane scenics with a missing lock button.
On my 2001 MY 1.9DCI its 100,000Miles or 5 Years, whichever comes first. Dont skimp and just get the belt, Renault do a kit which contains tensioners too.
Just had mine done & according to Renault garage it's at 5 years or every 72,000 miles. I had to have mine changed due to water pump leakage. It was changed at same time. Hope this helps. Donna
been told arox 70000 miles was told mine had been changed when i brought it at 73000 but but then went at 86000 so i guess not
Brake discs or rotors need only be changed if they are scored or below minimum thickness. Pads will typically need to be changed about every 40,000 kms or so. Inspect for wear at least twice a year.
It depends on the type of fluid and level of contamination or heat. if there is no problem with the fluid it should be left alone!
Maybe never,But if you let your brake pads wear out to where the brakes are grinding,You may have to.
You do not need to change it at all, unless you have replaced some long brake lines. Just make sure that the level of the fluid is proper.
