How often should replace your kitchen sponge?
You should replace it as often as you can. But as a limit, do not keep a sponge for more than a month. I do not see myself using a couple of sponges a week, so what I personally do is change my sponge every 15th and every 30th of every month.

The great majority of cars probably go to the auto salvage lots with their original thermostats intact, especially the very well engineered and built ones (and the Honda Civic… qualifies). In short, the thermostat is a good example of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". If the engine begins to overheat - or never gets to normal operating temperature - and coolant levels are normal, a bad 'stat is the first thing to suspect, of course. But on today's vehicles, it's a rare occurrence.

Layman answer for ease in understanding. A Breaker Box is that framework which contains devices known as fuses, circuit breakers, etc., where a main line is broken down into …sub-circuits. The box itself must conform to codes and standards in effect at the time. For instance, in the mid-20th century, round circular fuses were used in lieu of today's more common circuit breaker. The latching devices for circular fuse holders, in order to install such within the farmework of a breaker box, did not conform to newer standards and therefore when an upgrade was considred, a new design was required. As with any design, codes and standards exist. In this case, it includes both building codes, installation and electrical standards. Such includes minimimum distance, material, etc. Bottom line: whenever debating an upgrade / rehabilitation, contact your local govt. building inspector and use the services of a qualified electrician to do the work. It's there job to assure a safe / functioning installation. Failure to adhere to this sound advice can result in a voided home insurance pay-out should faulty installation / "not-to-code" installation result in a mishap. Likewise, manufacturer warranties are void if not done to code. Sort of like life insurance, it doesn't pay out on a suicide. Be smart, use certified workers that can provide a warranty for their workmanship following installation! Bottomline: if you are not modifying your wiring / breakers, than a box should last a lifetime. If you are modifying, ensure a certified electrician guides you. they know the codes & standards.
