for 2.5 v6 on the 1997 2.5L V6 models there is a tensioner pully that is held on w/a bolt on the front of the pulley and adjusted with a bolt on the mount that is to the left …of the pulley. be sure you don't have the spring loaded autotensioner because some models on the 1997 line had them. first you have to loosen the bolt holding the tensioner on. then the other bolt on the side of the pulley has to be loosened to relieve the tension on the belt. then just take the belt off and replace with a new one with it going on the right side of the alternator and the compressor pulleys the left side of of the tensioner pulley motor crankshaft pulley. when you start to tighten the belt you have to tighten the bolt that holds the pulley on till it holds it straight but not tight. then you tighten the adjuster bolt until the belt only flexes less than an inch in the area between the alternator and the crankshaft pulley. tighten the hold down bolt and start. listen for slippage when your transmission shifts when you are dogging the car out. if you hear a loud squealch when it shifts then the belt isn't tight enough. on the 2.5L v6 model there is also a v-belt for the power steering pump which requires the removal of the serpentine belt for replacement.
Start by jacking up the wheel, and then remove the wheel the fastener. Open the bonnet and using a belt removal tool to reduce tension slowly remove the belt and change re…versely.
The manual says to have it replaced between 60K and 66K and again at 120K to 130K
The manufacturer indicates that it should be replaced at 60,000 miles.
Every 100,000 miles.
If it that same as the convertible, you push in the button that displays the station and the time. Once you have it on time you just move to the right with a pen top or toothp…ick something small you will see the H and M and you just push those buttons in until you have the correct time.

60,000 miles. This is an interference engine. If the belt breaks you will have serious engine damage.
That depends on the year. 2006 and before has a belt. 2007 and later has a chain.
A good rule of thumb is 75,000 miles
A 2.7L has a chain, all other engines have a belt.
